Titanic

Espace 400e is proud to present this exhibition that has taken many of the world’s major cities by storm in recent years. Recreating the life of the Titanic through images and artifacts, the exhibition tells the story of this ill-fated ship, from its construction to its tragic sinking, as well as the numerous scientific exploits that made this exhibition possible.

The Image Mill

This architectural megaprojection makes a much-awaited return after its resounding success as part of the Québec City’s 400th anniversary celebrations. It projects Québec City’s 400 years of history in 40 minutes onto a giant 500 meter screen formed by the huge Bunge grain silos in the Old Port. A sight worth seeing!

Cirque du Soleil takes to the streets
June 24 to September 7
This wandering outdoor show is entitled Les Chemins invisibles. Designed exclusively for Québec City, it brings the streets of Lower Town to life before wrapping up beneath the Autoroute Dufferin-Montmorency ramps. MUSÉE NATIONAL DES BEAUX-ARTS DU QUÉBEC

Paintings from the Reign of Victoria

The Royal Holloway Collection of London is proud to present this exhibition showcasing some 60 canvasses that were the talk of the town in London in the 1880s, an age of splendor and change. Discover paintings depicting scenes of urban and rural life, landscapes, portraits, animal studies, and more. This collection pays great tribute to the finest British art of its day.

Women Artists. Breaking Down Barriers, 1965–2000

Musée National des Beaux-Arts presents its collection of works by women artists who have influenced art from 1965 to today. Through their art, they depicted modern life and claimed professional artist status. The exhibition showcases paintings, sculptures, photos, and videos of some of the most famous women in the Québec art scene.

MUSÉE DE LA CIVILISATION
Québec City’s people’s museum stands proudly in the Old Port. Its themed program is both popular and accessible, inviting visitors to participate and interact, while linking past, present, and future. The museum’s many exhibits touch equally on fundamental questions, the social issues of the day, and the consequences of modern living for civilizations at home and abroad. New interactive technology and multimedia projections bring the exhibits to life. The museum is thus a gathering place—not merely for discussion and learning, but for relaxation and wonderment.

The Seven Deadly Sins

The Canadian forest is a resource of capital importance. The Beyond the Trees exhibition explores its influence on our daily lives in an inspiring, interactive experience designed to mirror a walk in the forest.

When Africa Got Us Groovin’

Musée de la civilisation takes visitors on a captivating musical journey from Africa to the Americas. Discover the influence African rhythms have on modern music through excerpts from interviews, sound tracks, and legendary objects.

CENTRE D’INTERPRÉTATION DE LA VIE URBAINE DE LA VILLE DE QUÉBEC
Québec City’s center on urban living is a unique place to learn all about the phenomenon of urban life. Located in Maison Chevalier, educational and cultural activities trace the development of the urban environment, public art, architecture, world and historical heritage, and citizenship. The center is also home to the Old Québec: Secrets and Anecdotes exhibition, which reveals Québec City’s history in contemporary, interactive fashion. It is also the point of departure for the new Québec City Walking Tour of 32 audio stations. The tour has been officially recognized by UNESCO and is available 24/7.

QUÉBEC CITADEL
This national historic site on Cape Diamond is the perfect spot to learn more about Québec City’s military past. The Citadel was the biggest of the fortifications built in Canada during the British colonial period. Today, it remains home to the governor general’s summer residence as well as a military prison dating back to 1842. Watch the changing of the guard at 10 am every morning between June 24 and the first Monday in September, weather permitting. History and architecture buffs can take a guided tour exploring the places normally reserved for members of the Royal 22nd Regiment, the infamous Van Doos.

Hôtel Le Germain-Dominion is about 30 minutes from the Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport. Below are the transportation options available from the airport to the hotel:
